political career. this just my personal observation. you lost that race to bobby rush and you got in your car and drove out in the burbs with a map next to you in the passenger seat and said i'm going to do this thing. how many kids here want to go into politics? >> that's a pretty good number. >> are they right? >> it continues to be a way to serve that i think can be noble. it's hard. it can be frustrating. you got to have a thick skin. and i know it's tempting to say, you know what, why would i want to get in the mud like that and get slapped around and subjected to all kinds of scrutiny. and so for those people who say i'd rather serve in other ways through nonprofits or through starting a great business and work with people who are completely on my side all the time instead of trying to undermine what i'm trying to get done, i understand that. and god bless you. that's part of what makes this country great. you know, we're not completely government centered. we've got all kinds of folks who are doing great stuff all around the country. but i tell you, the satisfaction you get when yo

the meaningful reform and bobby jindal in louisiana had a great voucher program and allowed the kids from lower income communities to go to private school and have the same opportunities that a lot of us were afforded. but the irony of it all in protecting the teacher unions, president obama and the democrats are hurting the very people they claim to want to help, the lower income communities by shielding the teachers union. stuart: charles, who is to blame here? >> kayleigh, i start with the parents. and some parents are happy when they get an a on a watered down test. they come home with a report card not reflective of their achievements and they're work hand-to-hand and who the democrats keep voting in. >> charles, that's absolutely true and it definitely starts in the home and we need the parents to be the enforcers and be sure their kids are on track. and the kids are just stuck in failing schools, failing communities and then they have teachers, or parents, rather, like you said, giving em this the thumbs up for the watered down a-plus test. it's a two-prong solution, it's the teachers an

bobby was an enlisted man teenager. he had that credibility to make that charge. we're going to where kennedy gave his great american university speech. i'll allude to that. kennedy gave this great speech there the peace speech. but he said something i remembered ever since i read it. problems of man are manmade. they can be solved by man. in the past man has solved the seemingly unsolvable. he can do it again. that sense of national confidence that we can solve our problems especially the ones we create can we bring it back. i think that's what the country want back. they want trust. there's a lot of trust problems out there because promises were made for health care. that's a trust problem he has to deal with. i think he's also a very difficult opposition out there of people on the other side not boehner but people behind him that boehner has to deal with who from the very beginning wanted to destroy this presidency. some is just good old ideology. the way they treated this guy is unusual in our history. that ought to be pointed out. maybe tonight is not the night to do it. >> i wou
